MMTA on rescue mission in Imphal floods

The MMTA believes they could support such a mission in the future in a bigger role if they are provided enough equipment from the state government

Imphal : On Wednesday, 3rd July, the Manipur Mountaineering & Trekking Association (MMTA) team participated in the rescue mission in affected areas like Singjamei, and Kakwa line on the way to Canchipur by the heavy flood. Around 38 volunteers from the Manipur Mountaineering & Trekking Association (MMTA) with only 9 boats were used in the rescue mission.

Though having a limited number of equipment, the MMTA has been actively participating during the natural calamities. During this calamity, they assisted the state forest department, Kakwa police station, 171 CRPF Bn in the rescue mission.

The MMTA believes they could support such a mission in the future in a bigger role if they are provided enough equipment from the state government.
