Lieutenant General RP Kalita, AVSM, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Spear Corps extended his warm greetings to the people of Assam and Manipur on the joyous occasion of Rongali Bihu and Cheiraoba festivals.

On the auspicious occasion of the advent of Assamese and Manipuri new years, the General Officer wished the people of the region peace, prosperity and good health. He also urged the population to follow the protocols of social distancing and other hygiene measures to decisively defeat COVID – 19.

The General Officer, further complimented the people of NorthEast for their remarkable efforts in their fight against the pandemic and assured all assistance from the Indian Army towards this cause.
