200 people availing themselves of free medical consultations and check-ups with necessary medicines


Atal Foundation Manipur, in collaboration with Khongnangthaba University and the Chief Medical Officer, Imphal East, successfully organized a 1-day free medical camp at Sawombung Relief Camp on Tuesday. The initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the displaced individuals residing at the relief camp.

The medical camp which commenced from 10:00 a.m. witnessed an overwhelming response, with approximately 200 people availing themselves of free medical consultations and check-ups with necessary medicines. A team of highly skilled specialists, including experts in ophthalmology (eye care), gynaecology, neurology, general medicine, AYUSH, and paediatrics, conducted thorough examinations and provided necessary medical advice and treatment.
The program was made possible by the dedicated efforts of all stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, volunteers, and supporting organizations. The initiative not only addressed the immediate medical needs of the camp residents but also reinforced the commitment of Atal Foundation Manipur and its partners to ensuring accessible healthcare for all.
