Asia International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) is an annual international platform for students to improve critical thinking skills and exchange knowledge, and to promote educational and cultural development.

Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Union isa collaborative international organisation among Asian Mathematical Research Organisations and individuals.
This year, AIMO finals was held at the City of Taipei in Taiwan on 5th August.
Eleven Indian School Children participated in the AIMO Final Open Contest held in Taiwan on 5th August’2019.
The individual awards in each GRADE include International Star, Gold (Top 10%), Silver (next 20%) and Bronze (next 30%). Other participants received a Merit Award.
Asia International Mathematical Olympiad has been running internationally with 13 countries which include Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Macau, South Korea, Bulgaria, India, and Myanmar.
Its mission is to provide teenagers with an international platform for the purposes of learning mathematics, intriguing their mathematical insights, improving their qualities of thinking minds in addition to enhancing the friendship, cultural exchange, and cooperation of Asian teenagers of different countries.
Contest Time is of 120 minutes
Section A: 12 questions, 3 marks each
Section B: 10 questions, 5 marks each
Section C: 8 questions, 8 marks each
Total: 30 questions, 150 marks
This year AIMO Union also introduced WGMO (World Mathematics Games Open) to give participants an additional fun learning event through different kinds of Mathematics games using cognitive skills such as shape, logic, space, and numbers.
