Deputy Commissioner of Cachar district, in Assam, Keerthi Jalli, visited the COVID wards in Silchar Medical College and Hospital. Clad in PPE kit, she spent around two hours in the various wards and ICU to oversee the treatment process in the Medical College. She interacted with many patients, asked about their health condition. She also interacted with the treating doctors and other staffs. 

Jalli expressed that “Patients are more or less satisfied with the services. However, some minor issues are there which can be sorted out”. She has expressed concern over the fact that many patients are being diagnosed late which is contributing to a fatality. Dr. Abhijit Swami, Suptd., SMCH and Dr. Vikash Shandilya, Deputy Superintendent accompanied her.
