Stakeholders were requested to raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of the threat possessed by corruption

Vigilance Awareness Week 2020 which started at Silchar Airport from 27th October ended on 2nd November.

Arnab Kumar Das, OSD to APD welcomed all the Dignitaries, school students & all the stakeholders for the closing ceremony. Prominent Social activist Tulika Sarma, Dr. Dilip Thakur, Jaganath Singh College, Udharbond & Raju Thakur, Morley High School graced the occasion. P. K. Gorai, Airport Director felicitated the guests and welcomed everyone for the program.

The program started with a rendition of Saraswati Vandana & Rabindra Sangeet by employees of IndiGo & Spice Jet.

Several activities were conducted during Vigilance Awareness Week 2020 which saw active participation from School students, employees of Airports Authority of India & stakeholders. Prizes were distributed to all the winners by the Airport Director & guests. They congratulated the winners and expressed their gratitude to all the participants for actively participating in the events and spreading awareness about Vigilance.

Dignitaries spoke about all aspects of corruption prevalent in our society and shared their views on the way to curb it.

Airport Director in his speech requested all the stakeholders of Silchar Airport to collectively participate in the prevention of and to fight the root cause of corruption. Stakeholders were requested to raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of the threat possessed by corruption. Only a Vigilant India can be a Prosperous India.
