Manipur State Level Kut Celebration was held at 1st Manipur Rifles Battalion ground at Imphal on 1st November. Chief Minister of the state N. Biren Singh who graced the function as Chief guest said that the government is against those forces that could divide the State on the ethnic lines. Mentioning that the government is for the people, he promised that his government would never let the people’s aspirations down. He echoed that there should be mutual respect and understanding among the communities. Sharing and caring among the communities could make Manipur a strong State.
While speaking to the media at the sideline of the function, Biren Singh informed that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured that all stakeholders will be consulted before final decision of the Indo-Naga peace talks.
Chief Minister Biren asserted that the Central government is taking the issue of territorial integrity of the state seriously and State government trust the positive commitment made by the Prime Minister and Home Minister. He appealed to the people of the State to maintain peace and calm.
During his address in the function Chief Minister appreciated the Kuki-Chin-Mizo community, and remembered the contribution of the Kuki-Chin-Mizo community for the good of the State.

He announced that the State government is ready to extend any help to organise the Kut celebration in grand manner in future whereby guests and cultural troupes from outside the State could be invited.
Forest Minister Th. Shyamkumar, Water Resources Minister Letpao Haokip, Manipur Tribal Development Corporation Chairman Vungzagin Valte, MLAs T.N. Haokip, Y. Surchandra, Chief Secretary, DGP, top civil and police officials attended the celebration along with large number of general public.
