The BSF troops of Mizoram and Cachar Frontier have seized 373 Cattle heads since January ‘2023, to check smuggling to Bangladesh in border areas

The 170 Bn BSF in its drive against cattle smuggling, on 28 November at about 0510 hrs, while acting on specific information regarding the illegal movement of cattle in the border area of BOP Harinagar, for smuggling purposes, the vigilant troops carried out a special operation and seized 23 cattle and apprehended one Indian cattle smuggler namely Fazual Uddin S/o Kamalu Uddin resident of village Jagdishpur (Part – 5) in Border area of Cachar District, Assam.

The seized cattle along with the apprehended person will be handed over to the Police for further necessary legal action.
