The government has decided to reduce land allotment rates by 30% in industrial areas to create jpb oppurtunities. The applications for setting up industries would be collected by all districts and land would be allotted on first come first serve basis.
The Chhatisgarh government has decided to promote industrialization to create job avenues in the state. This was announced by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while addressing representatives of industrial and commercial sectors.
As a step towards implementing the goal, the government has decided to reduce land allotment rates by 30% in industrial areas.
It has been decided that the land allotment rates in industrial areas would be reduced by 30% and lease rent rates would be reduced from existing 3% to 2%. At present applications for setting up industries are not accepted because of unavailability of land. The applications for setting up industries would be collected by all districts and land would be allotted on first come first serve basis.
Few industries which have not been set up despite land allocation, is given a time limit of one year, failing which the allotted land would be taken back and sanctioned to other eligible entrepreneurs.
The gomasta license ( basic business license ) is compulsory for all small entrepreneurs. The state government is planning to send a proposal to government of India to increase the minimum number of employees required for compulsion of gomasta issuance to 10 or more for electricity run industries.
The new policy also carries with it several other benefits including availability of land at cheaper rates, subsidy on interest, tax rebates for food processing , minor forest produce and herbal based units.The new policy is expected to be formulated soon.
The state government is trying to balance the development between industrial sector along with agricultural sector. Core industries such as cement and steel are also in the list of development.
