Looking forward to fruitful interaction on business and trade opportunities in Bangladesh
Conrad Sangma, Chief Munister of Meghalaya attended the business meeting hosted by the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh to exchange views and opinions on business and trade exchange between India & Bangladesh on 5th November.
After the meeting Sangma echoed that there exist business potential in terms of trade & connectivity which will build better relationship between India & Bangladesh.
He informed that business and trade potential between India & Bangladesh is very promising as Sylhet Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industries expressed their desire to invest and explore opportunities in Northeast India.
We are very optimistic about fostering trade ties with our neighbouring countries that is aimed to benefit our people and our economy, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma echoed.
A twenty member delegation is being led by him to Bangladesh by road from 5th November for a four days visit to Bangladesh.
Earliar a warm reception was accorded by BSF and BGB at India-Bangla border in Dawki on 5th November.
Enroute they visited the site of erstwhile winter capital of Jaintia rulers at Jaintiapur, now in Sylhet, Bangladesh.

Today Chief Minister Sangma met the Commerce Minister, Bangladesh Tipu Munshi to chalk out and identify key sectors for promotion of trade and commerce between the two countries.
The delegation from Meghalaya met the business communities in Dhaka at the India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Conrad invited them to visit Meghalaya and explore opportunities. He feels that the State will offer to foster and strengthen business relationship.
