The G C College Alumni Association based in Delhi had its Annual General Body meeting on Sunday, post-pandemic in Delhi. It was also the first AGM conducted in a hybrid mode where, in addition to members and families who were physically present, many alumni who are globally spread out also joined in virtual mode.

Guru Charan College, Silchar is one of the premier institutions of higher learning in Assam.

Kind and encouraging messages from both the Members of Parliament of Barak valley were received by the members of the association. Among the guests present were also the President of the Srehatta Sammilani, Delhi, and a senior retired bureaucrat, both well-wishers of the alumni association.

The key activities undertaken was also to elect the Members of the executive committee for the year 2022 to 2025. The elections were conducted seamlessly, and the key office bearers elected are:

1. President : Soumya Kanti Purkayastha

2. General Secretary: Luna Purkayastha

3. Treasurer: Sumitro Dhar

In addition, 15 Vice Presidents, 3 Joint Secretaries, and 24 Executive Members were also elected from all over India and abroad covering the USA, Europe, and Australia.
