Delhi Police on Alert with AK-47 hauls from across the country

The recovery of AK-47 rifles, from different parts of the country, has kept Delhi Police on a high alert mode.

In the Shamli district, the Uttar Pradesh Police had arrested a gangster with an AK-47 and 1300 rounds of cartridges five days back and in another operation a similar weapon was recovered in Assam’s Hojai district from an Agartala bound train at Lumding Railway Station by a joint team of the RPF and GRP on 6th April.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police on 15 March recovered 20 semi-automatics sophisticated and country-made pistols when they could arrest two members of an interstate illegal arms supply racket.

The Delhi Police is on high alert in the National Capital looking into multiple reports pouring in from across the country even though no such weapon is recovered.
