Haran Dey

Dey in his letter stated that there was heavy public demand for resumption of Imphal-Silchar flight service in the North East. The service was stopped a few years back.

As Air India was assigned last year to resume the service between Imphal and Silchar under UDAN scheme, he hoped that the Imphal- Silchar flight service may be started by Air India at least now and this may be included in the summer schedule effective from July 21.

In view of the above, he has requested to kindly pass orders to the concerned officials of Air India to provide them a copy of the Imphal- Silchar route schedule effective from 1st July 21.

In this connection, he suggested that ATR 72 now running in Guwahati -Tezpur- Lilabari route may be introduced in Guwahati-Silchar- Imphal route also instead of a Boeing flight.
