Dev further claimed as per the internal survey the grand alliance would get 101 seats in the Assam Assembly election
As a part of Save Assam Yatra, Sushmita Dev, ex-MP & President, All India Mahila Congress and Ajit Singh, ex-MLA visited Haflong on Thursday.
Arriving at Haflong Sushmita Dev and Ajit Singh along with Dima Hasao DCC President Nirmal Langthasa and others offered floral tribute to the statue of Freedom fighter Veer Sanbudhan Phonglo.
This was followed by holding a discussion with students of Haflong Govt. College and with public and Auto Drivers.
Talking to the media, Dev said it was not a political rally but to meet people and to know what people expect from the next government. She said it was a very good interaction with the students of HGC who are facing problem due to non-completion College building during the last 7 years and there was a shortage of teachers. She assured that if Congress comes into power these problems would be solved. She also said people are annoyed with the BJP ruled government though prefer to remain silent but they would give befitting replies during the election.
