The Covid environment has stopped all development work and an environment of gloom is all around, but despite the challenges faced, there is a reason to feel good for the people of Dima Hasao.

The Dima Hasao district now stands 3rd in place amongst all the 32 districts of Assam in terms of percentage of work completion by any district for the sanctioned projects under PMAY- Grameen.

On receiving this report the Executive Member in charge DRDA Samuel Changsan who is in self-quarantine in his quarter as he was exposed on  Saturday to Covid positive patient MAC Jinam valley  Zosumthang Hmar expressed his happiness in a message saying he was extremely glad that, as on 17th May 2021, the district is no. 3 out of the 32 districts of Assam, in % of Work Completion of PMAY – Grameen, as sanctioned. He also conveyed sincere appreciation to the Project Director, Five BDOs and their entire team, and the rural BPL beneficiaries who have completed their works… in spite of the extraordinarily difficult 2020-21.
