One bright-eyed boy of  Diphu town, Karbi Anglong district Mainak Chakraborty has been preferred as a delegate of  India in the ‘Asia World Model United Nations’ VI Conference to be held from November 3 to 6 at Bangkok. Capital of Thailand.

Mainak Chakraborty is pursuing his IIT prospect at Physics Wallah Vidyapeeth coaching centre, Kota, Rajasthan. He is the only son of Mona Chakraborty and mother Mita Chakraborty, residing near Binapani LP School of Diphu town. Mainak Chakraborty is a pass out of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Diphu.

Out of many interviewees from across the nation Mainak has been selected along with ten students for the high-status Aerospace Training Program at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar for securing outstanding marks in the selection test.

The ‘Asia World Model United Nations’ in the invitation mail to Mainak Chakraborty in the conference, has mentioned that, it is his opening to develop and explore the utmost potential about space studies.

The criteria to enter in Asia World Model United Nations as delegate is the student should be of age between 15 to 25 years, should have experience in attending symposium or conference and have high curiosity in global affairs. He or she must be a high school or university graduate. 

Being selected for the NASA Space exploration program under AAKA Space Studio (is an evolving space architectural company with a core focus to design, build and test prototypes based on interactive human-centered environments) which is scheduled to take place in mid-December.

Mainak Chakraborty will have the chance to embark on star exploration and prom night camping, and will also get to experience zero gravity, take part in a lunar walk and explore the lunar module designed as per National Aeronautics and Space Administration Space exploration program.
