What encouraged and energized the team to start Hill Panda was the prepossessing culture of our Northeast India. People here despite their diverse language, culture, and traditions are very much united, sharing an integrated identity. North-eastern traditional elements are reflected and showcased in their work – digital artwork & graphic/logo design. Their design works are also deeply inspired by the Northeast – its culture, heritage, traditional motifs, social-psychological significance, cultural appreciation, and much more. In fact, the services they provide are highly inspired by Northeast cultures.
For graphic design services, the clients can pay a fixed token amount before, and later they can pay according to their work satisfaction. This uniquely designed method was inspired by ‘Nghah Loh Dawr’ Culture of Mizoram which means ‘Shop Without Shopkeepers’ culture of Mizoram. Here, they take what they want and keep money in a deposit box. These shops work on principles of trust and faith. Such shops are also in Switzerland with the name of “Honesty Shops”.
Hill Panda is not just limited to different design services but is also into prints (T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Hoodies, and more) for corporations and individuals. They print company logos which bring a sense of unity and create a strong brand image among the corporate and business industry of Northeast. Hill Panda charges for design services which include digital arts, logo designing, and product labelling starting from Rs. 1000 & T-shirt printing services start from Rs. 400.
In the last 3 years, they have provided prints & designs services to industries such as hospitality, education, media, travel & tourism, etc. in Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and other states of Northeast India and they are trying to connect the rural areas. There is a lot of scope and beauty in our place which is getting acknowledged nationally and internationally.
Hill panda is bringing changes by connecting the modern generation with traditional roots through their contemporary digital design.
Minakshi Kemprai from Assam is the founder of Hill Panda Prints & Designs and sometimes, people ask her why she only chose the Northeast as a region to work in. She swiftly replies that she is a proud Dimasa indigenous tribal woman from the enchanting Northeast and will connect the Northeast with the globe through the support of their valuable clients, artists, investors & supporters, showcasing its true beauty.
The team members are all from different states of northeast India. Hill Panda’s work is simple, they appropriately represent the traditional culture with true authenticity in the form of digital work. The team Hill Panda itself is a true example of women empowerment where the majority of them are women.
