From the North-East Region  Jesmina Zeliang, M/s Heirloom Naga, Dimapur was elected as the new member of the committee of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) on Tuesday concluded its 38th Annual General Meeting in New Delhi. The Meeting was chaired by  Dileep Baid, Chairman-EPCH in the presence of  Neeraj Khanna and Mr. Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairmen-EPCH. Also, leading member exporters were present in the meeting including  R. K. Verma, Executive Director – EPCH,  Rajesh Rawat, Addl. Executive Director-cum-Secretary-EPCH and other eminent member exporters from various parts of the country.

Dileep Baid, Chairman-EPCH chaired the 38th Annual General Meeting and briefed the gathering about various activities and initiatives undertaken by the Council during 2023-24 toward the promotion of exports of handicrafts from the Country.

One of the agenda items of the 38th AGM was to constitute the vacancies as per available vacancies i.e. three vacancies in Northern Region and one each in North-West Region, Southern Region and North East Region. The House adopted all the agendas including the election of CoA members informed by  R. K. Verma, the Executive Director-EPCH.

From the North-East Region  Jesmina Zeliang, M/s Heirloom Naga, Dimapur was elected as the new member of the committee of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts.

Jesmina Zeliang is a prominent exporter from Dimapur, Nagaland and has been in the handicrafts sector for more than 3 decades. Her brand “Heirloom Naga” has played a pivotal role in spotlighting crafts from Nagaland and other North Eastern States to the international markets. She works directly with more than 1000 artisans and their merchandise is sold through several high-end brands and luxury labels globally. Her role as a cultural entrepreneur has won her several accolades and she has also founded the Heirloom Naga Centre in Dimapur, Nagaland which aims to promote, preserve and continue cultural traditions
