The Kalakshetra Manipur (KKM) condoles the untimely demise of Gautam Das, who was the founder secretary of Sanskriti Samannoy Kendra, Tripura. He was also a leader of the CPI(M), Tripura State Committee.

Gautam Das passed away due to Covid 19 on September 16, 2021. The KKM executive committee held a condolence meeting today at the theatre group’s Langol Laimanai premises. A two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

Mother guru of KKM, Heisnam Sabitri, in the condolence gathering hailed the dedication and commitment of Gautam Das towards social transformation and promotion of culture. She observed that Gautam Das had been an ardent supporter of KKM and its theatre practices. He had remained a warm-hearted friend of KKM, she added. In his passing away, KKM shares the sorrow of the bereaved family members and prays for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
