Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang set in motion several developmental schemes in different parts of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council administered areas since Friday.

Ronghang through social media handle has written in his account that he laid the foundation stone for the construction of the embankment for the protection of Jamoni Bey Village from the erosion of River Horina under Nomati Member of Autonomous Council constituency. 

Ritesh Enghi MAC of the locality and Deputy Speaker of the council, Executive Member of Water Resource department Amarsing Tisso accompanied him during the groundbreaking ceremony.

He also formally began the construction work of metal and blacktopped road connecting Howraghat – Parokhowa Road funded by NABARD. Ronghang examined the earth filling and metal compressing job of the road whose work has commenced.

Chief Executive Member instated the Biodiversity Park in Bokajan yesterday and planted orange saplings in the park. Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Madhurya Dhekial Phukan, board chairmen of various government departments, Chairman of Bokajan Municipal Board, and several dignitaries attended the opening ceremony.
