Karbi Anglong police got a major burst through the drugs smuggling concept or idea on Monday after arresting two peddlers and consequential seizers of large quantities of heroin from a startling partition of an XUV today near Diphu.

Chief Public Relation Officer in a press message from Assam Police Headquarter has informed that; based on precise information a shocker inspection was commenced by a team of police under the supervision of senior officers at a place in Diphu-Dhansiri road during wee hours.

 As per the input a Scorpio XUV was intercepted (no AS17D0007) and thorough checking was conducted by the elite police force.

To the utter disbelief of the raiding force, a stealthy section within the fuel tanker of the vehicle was discovered; after taking the secret chamber to pieces, forty-one soap cases containing 552-gram heroin was accumulated from the soap containers. 

The market price of the psychotropic stuff is yet to be determined by the authority.

Police immediately seized the psychotropic substances at the place of occurrence and arrested two accused, Aftab Hussain son of Lt. Abdul Hasim resident of Islampur within the command of Ratabari police station of Karimganj district. Another arrested person has been identified as Sabir Hussain son of Babul Hussain, resident of Ajunpur within the control of Patharkandi police station of the same district.
