In a meeting held at Karbi People’s Hall, Taralangso, located at the fringe of Diphu town, the Reception Committee for observing the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Karbi Youth Festival was formed yesterday.

After a wide-ranging discussion, the committee appointed Bidyasing Engleng MLA of Diphu, as the president, and Richard Tokbi, Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, as the general secretary of the reception committee.

Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang, Member of Lok Sabha Horen Sing Bey, District Commissioner of Karbi Anglong , Superintendent of Police were chosen as advisors.

Beside that twenty sub-committees have been constituted, the Golden Jubilee is programmed from January 12 to 19, 2024, differing from its customary February month.
