A special package of around INR 10000 crores was sanctioned through a MOS ( Memorandum of Settlement)  signed between GOI. Assam & KAAC for developmental projects in the Karbi areas.

Home Minister Amit Shah said the Karbi Anglong Agreement is another milestone in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “insurgency-free prosperous North East”.

Karbi Anglong is an autonomous region and both central and state govt are committed to its holistic development covering areas like education, health, agriculture, primary and secondary industries other infrastructure development.

A list of more than 30 development points was developed by the Karbi autonomous council authorities in line with their vision and settlement plan.

Nation’s lead consultancies including WAPCOS, NAFED, NERAMAC, Pradera, LSGD Growth Private Limited, etc have won the tenders for Project management consultancy for sectors like textile, fisheries, organic horticulture park, Ginger Dehydration plants, setting up hospitals, airports etc.

The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council’s path-breaking initiatives, 37 in all, are truly massive for the all-around development of their two districts. This is unparalleled not only in Assam but across the whole of India. Starting with consulting services for DPR preparation, the scope of engagement with all the Consulting firms shall extend to PMO services till project completion. KAAC’s ambitious plans cover virtually all aspects of the economy and support infrastructure for the upliftment of its people.

There are initiatives to construct a greenfield airport, All-weather roads, Highway, Hotel & tourism management institute to a Center for fish breeding, training & farming, Organic manure production center, Gingerdehydration & modern food processing plants, Broom making factory and Training, production & marketing centres for handloom and textile products? The last five initiatives starting from Center for fish breeding, training & farming to the Training, production & marketing centers for handloom & textiles have been awarded to Pradera Ventures Pvt Ltd and LSGD Growth Pvt Ltd.
