Though since the mid part of this month police stations like Khatkati, Bokajan and Borpathar have remained eventful against drug paddlers, and on a regular basis paddlers have been nabbed, particularly women paddlers.
The weird and bizarre issue is, since March 17 till now number of paddlers has been arrested by forces of these police stations, but compared to preceding detections the measure of heroin attempted by the paddlers to smuggle out have drastically reduced, however, the frequency of effort to crack police vigil have amplified.

Today morning around 9:30 am Heroin weighing 61.39 grams has been recovered from one Mamtaz Begum aged around thirty years. Police have identified this paddler as the widow of one Late Abdul Barek resident of Sulung Borghuli village under the jurisdiction of Uluwani police station of neighboring Nagaon district; she was accompanied by one child that is Ashmina Khatoon, of five years.
This woman paddler was travelling in a passenger bus (registration No. AS02 AC 2059) from Dimapur city of Nagaland, heading for Tezpur, the bus was intercepted by forces of Khatkati police station near the daily market of Khatkhati and while frisking her body and belongings five soap cases containing the heroin was found.
In the matching condition of drugs detection, the force of Khatkati police station along with C Coy of 20 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force at Khatkhati near State Bank of India Khatkhati branch recovered109.32 grams of heroin from one Alemon Nessa aged around fifty years she is the widow of late Abdul Ali alias Abdullah of village Sal kati Pathar, located within the authority of Moirabari police station of Morigaon district
The police team while probing the body of the suspect recovered nine plastic soap cases containing the quantity of heroin from her.
The consecutive arrest of drug paddlers in one and the same circumstances certainly provides scope to consider that something odd is happening behind the too obvious events.
