The Assam Rifles provided two hands operated tractors to the frontier villages of Shaibol and Sharon in a small gathering today.

The provision of the tractors would benefit the farmers of these remote areas as also strengthen the bond between the local population and the security forces.

Being the ‘friends of the North East People’, the Assam Rifles wanted to alleviate the hardships of the farmers in harvesting crops using traditional means.

The villagers of both the villages expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards this noble gesture of the troops of Assam Rifles.
