The Kadamtala Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of  Headquarters 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) constructed and handed over a water storage tank to village authorities at Village New Kaiphundai, in Tamenglong district of Manipur today.

The village New Kaiphundai is remotely located in mountainous area and faces acute water scarcity throughout the year due to limited water in the seasonal streams. The water tank will alleviate the water problem of the local villages and improve their quality of life.

The contribution of the Battalion has been greatly appreciated by the villagers and they expressed their commitment towards establishing peace and development in the region.
