Here I can see how deeply people are taking climate concern: Union Minister
Bhupendra Yadav, Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India launched COVID-19 vaccination for 15-18 years old children at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal on 3rd January. The minister stated that the world is facing the problem of Climate Change today. And I really liked it when I read in Manipur newspaper an article on climate change. Here I can see how deeply people are taking climate concern.
Here, people are interested in climate change and at the same time, they understand the problem even they are also studying it. It is very important for us to conserve our natural resources like flora and fauna, lakes, etc and make their lifestyle. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji at the UN-led COP26 climate change summit announced that India will achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2070 and is set to give a firm push to India’s plans for increasing renewable energy, and switching to electricity and hydrogen fuels for transport and has initiated to work together to achieve it.
Meaning of life is environment friendly lifestyle. We are trying to bring a healthy environment to every corner of the country. We are creating a healthy lifestyle along with providing the basic infrastructure; this is also a big topic for the country. There was a time when we used to get polio vaccine medicine from outside and it used to take 15 to 16 years. But, now under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, we inaugurated the COVID-19 vaccination center and within one year, 100 crore people were vaccinated. I am happy that I could participate in the launching of COVID-19 vaccination for 15-18 years old children at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal today.
During the launching program, Dr. Sambit Patra, National leader of BJP, Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh, Advisor (Health) to Chief Minister of Manipur, Th. Kirankumar Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, Prof. A. Santa Singh, Director, RIMS, Prof. Nepram Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Jogen Singh, Additional District Magistrate, Imphal West, Dr. N. Shantajit Singh, District Immunization Officer and Dr. Vijaya Elangbam, Nodal Officer, COVID-19 Vaccination Center, RIMS were also present.
