A Familiarisation Exercise on Disaster Response was successfully conducted in several places in Pherzawl District of Manipur by the 12^th NDRF, Itanagar, Ministry of Home Affairs in close coordination with the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Pherzawl, headed by the Deputy Commissioner, Pherzawl during the period from 21^st November to 27^th November.

During the Familiarisation Exercise, the following activities viz School Safety Programme were conducted at Parbung Higher Secondary School on 21st November 2022 along with Community Awareness Programme at Parbung and Senvon on 22nd and 23rd November 2022. A mock Exercise was also conducted at Parbung on 25^th November.

Mention may be made that during the exercise, the NDRF team along with the active support of the members of the District Disaster Management Authority also visited neighbouring villages which are vulnerable to landslides in Parbung, Senvon, Sipuikon and other flood prone areas for familiarisation of the terrain.
