The three main Ema Market women are now functioning but in a state of terror. Some have urged to have  Detect Doors in all three markets and also at the entrance and exit points of all the markets and make the market for walkers and no more vehicles during these unrest periods.

Talking to KRC TIMES some women folks selling clothes, towels, mosquito nets, and blankets have expressed their serious concern about these ongoing attacks. And their urgent demand to install security detection doors for a safer environment for the buyers and sellers in the three markets.

Leiriksana while selling some chimes below the overbridge urged the government to open the internet. She said,” My kids learnt during covid through the net. Why not this time? We don’t want to send our kids to school. We don’t want compensation. They are our future and we want to see them study in front of our own eyes during this unrest period.”

Some shared this market has a strong value system. This is a place where we hold the most important state meetings by the women folks, a place to welcome and cherished laurels won by our children either in sports or in education.

This unique and fertile land of the Northeast brought name and fame not only to the state but also to this nation now being taken for granted by the rich lords.

Ebehanbi expressed,” We never knew poppy could fetch millions, if our government is not responding anything then it won’t take long for us to sell drugs openly “

Tombi shares how her 25 years of selling local enaphis at Ema Market made her earn for her family and also support her children’s education.” Now the recent attack in front of a school has given a panic situation for all of us. How will we send our kids to school while we sell things here? Kuki students and some youths are seen visiting the markets freely in groups. All these years they have bought their own ethnic attire why only these few days they are buying our products? Are they also going to misuse it in some or other way? “

Talking about education some have also shared that they won’t mind if their kids remain in the same class in the coming year.
