Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Meghalaya organised ‘U Tirot Sing’ Best Student Award-2022 on 29th September at U So So Tham Auditorium. The occasion was graced by Temjen Imna Along Longkumer, Minister of Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Government of Nagaland as the Chief Guest and Dr. Kestonbel Manik Syiemlieh, Deputy Syiem of Hima Nongkhlaw as Guest of Honor.

More than 80 toppers of SSLC and HSSLC examination 2022 from the Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools of the Khasi Hills who have excelled in their respective institution were felicitated on the day. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest lauded the achievement of the young achievers and motivated them to work for the uplifting of the Nation.

The Zonal Organising Secretary of North East Zone, Nirav Ghelani spoke about the various activities of ABVP and mentioned how ABVP is contributing to the National Reconstruction by channelising the students’ power in a positive direction. Dr. Kestonbel Manik Syiemlieh who is the 5th descendant of U Tirot Sing spoke about the valour of U Tirot Sing.
