Musical Revolution Against CAA in Kakching

10 degree celcius couldn’t stop the roaring drummers, musician including Kakching youths and independent volunteers who came out in a musical procession against CAA with innovative Anti-CAA songs in guitars and drums in Kakching in Manipur.

Showing thier solidarity to the nationwide protest against CAA on Friday morning, they roared “Awake oh brethren / Let us make a new beginning, / Let us stand together,“ with placards in thier hands youths came out marching .

Tunes of popular songs like Pink Floyd’s ‘Another brick in the wall’ were rehashed with anti CAA lyrics like – we don’t need no CAA, we say no to CAA.

According to sources the volunteers started coming out since December 17 with a silent protest gathering at Kangla Moat, but they were driven away by police after the third day.

Since then several youths from different profession voluntarily joined the protests in different parts of  Imphal West district before section 144 came into effect.

Some shared that such initiatives would be coming in from various districts . This  peaceful protest was an effort to make people aware of the demographic occupation that will soon invade Manipur and the Northeastern states.

Musicians, drummers  rendered an untitled original number  jointly composed by various artists from Imphal.

Talking to our correspondent some locals said,” please stop fooling us  with ILP , If you seriously love your land then stop CAA”.
