The Chiephobozou Public Library, a public library comprising of recreational as well as educational books was inaugurated at Marketing Complex, Chiephobozou Town under Kohima district of Nagaland on 16th October 2020.
The formal inauguration was done by PS to Chief Minister, Nagaland Neiketouzo Kengurüse as the special guest. Delivering his speech, he apprised the crowd on the importance of a public library in the town and appreciated the efforts of the team working behind in putting the library together. He also expressed his delight in having such a library in the area as it is an asset for the community as a whole.
During the inauguration programme, keynote address was given by EAC Chiephobozou, Dziesengunuo Mere while concluding thoughts were shared by ADC Chiephobozou, Vekhoyi Chakhesang,
The library has been initiated with a vision to make it into a learning hub for the people of the area. All the books in the library have been sourced purely from donations from philanthropists and well wishers. With more than a thousand books in the library, the collection consists of recreational and educational books for school children, competitive exam books and materials for aspirants preparing for competitive exams and a whole section of books by Naga authors.
The library is replete with a computer and printer set for those who want to scan/print sections/parts of the books.
