42 total number of COVID-19 cases detected on 12 December, Sunday. 19 in Dimapur, 7 in Kiphire, 10 in Kohima, 4 in Mokokchung and 2 in Peren. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 11,676.

Out of the 11,676 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 10,876. The active cases are 607 and there have been 61 deaths so far. As per the severity of symptoms 565 active cases are asymptomatic, 28 active cases are mild, 9 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 3 active cases are severe on oxygen and 2 active cases are on a ventilator.

Further, out of 11,676 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are 4,635 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,816 cases of Returnees, 4,667 cases of Traced Contacts and 558 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 71,214 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and the results of 71,086 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 36,315 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 36,293 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 9,306 samples have been tested.”
