Kohima : The Nagaland Olympic Association organized the Olympic Day Run 2024 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on Saturday. The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of 229 enthusiastic young athletes aged 6 to 12 years.

Under the inspiring theme “Let’s Move & Celebrate,” the Olympic Day Run aimed to promote the Olympic values of friendship, excellence and respect, while encouraging physical activity and healthy living. The event served as a testament to our unwavering commitment to promoting sports and fitness within our community.

It was heart-warming to witness the incredible enthusiasm and dedication of all the participants, who displayed remarkable sportsmanship and determination.

Young athletes showcased their talents in different categories based on age groups in the 50-meter, 80-meter and 100-meter races.

The incredible turnout reflects the growing enthusiasm and passion for sports in Nagaland. The Nagaland Olympic Association is thrilled to witness such active participation from the community. The event brought together athletes, families and sports enthusiasts fostering a sense of camaraderie and celebration.
