As part of the national campaign on energy conservation 2021, a state level painting competition on energy conservation was organized by the Ministry of Power on 8th December at the East Gate Hotel, Kohima.
Director, School Education Department, Nagaland, Wonthungo Tsopoe said he was happy to see a great turnout of students in the competition and the competitions encourage the spread of knowledge about energy conservation. He expressed the need for wider participation of students from different districts in the future. He said education should be all round development of a child and children should think out of the box.
The winners from category A are:
1st prize: Vivan Poddar from Hope Academy School, Dimapur; 2nd prize: Seyiesinuo Yhome from LFS Higher Secondary School, Kohima and 3rd prize: Imkongsenla from Little Star Higher Secondary School, Dimapur.
The winners from category B are:
1st prize: Delphi Oinam from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur; 2nd prize: Michael Yanthan from Saint Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Dimapur and 3rd prize: Victor D. Sangma from VKV Doyang.
