Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Sharingain Longkumer, along with Secretary-In-Charge of NLA , Khruohituonuo Rio, participated in the 9th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Conference held from August 20th to 23rd, 2023, in Udaipur, Rajasthan. 

The conference was inaugurated by Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Distinguished speakers included the MP & Chairperson of the CPA Headquarters in London, the Governor of Rajasthan, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, the Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, the Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, and the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. The conference’s valedictory address was delivered by the Vice-President of India.

During the conference, the Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly also actively participated in discussions centered around the topic “How to make Public Representatives more Effective/Efficient in encouraging Good Governance through Digital Empowerment.”
