The symposium focussed on highlighting the importance of mental health-related issues

Despite the apprehensive Covid-19 scenario, ‘Adolescence – A Period of Bumps and Humps’ the flagship symposium by Advance Healthcare Foundation, was held on 21st April. The fourth edition of the symposium series in New Delhi was a grand success. The symposium received a tremendous response from the audience comprising of students, teachers, and parents.

The galaxy of senior doctors and professionals from different fields, including mental health experts, provided the students with a comfortable space to discuss their concerns and gave them tangible solutions to battle through the issues faced during the adolescent phase of life. The symposium focussed on the need to address mental health-related issues faced by adolescent students, in sync with the National Education Policy, 2020. The symposium aims at preparing adolescent students as responsible citizens in the future.

A special message from Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan to the symposium on adolescent issues was read out by Ratnajyoti Dutta, National Advisor (Hon), Advance Healthcare Foundation, an NGO that organised the symposium.

The participants were adolescent students of Delhi NCR. The symposium focussed on highlighting the importance of mental health-related issues, in sync with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
