According to the NSCM IM, despite the ongoing political talks between the Government of India and NSCN for a peaceful settlement, the Indian Security Forces, including the Assam Rifles (AR) and para-regiments, are allegedly colluding with Kuki militant groups.

In a press statement released by the Ministry of Information and Publicity of the People’s Republic of Nagalim on May 23, 2024, the NSCM IM (National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak Muivah) has raised serious allegations against the Government of India, accusing it of resorting to proxy warfare tactics against the Naga Army of NSCN. The statement highlights the alleged collusion between Indian security forces and militant groups operating in the Indo-Myanmar border region, particularly targeting NSCN.

The NSCM IM’s statement begins by questioning the direction of the Indian government’s actions, particularly its decision to utilize Indian Security Forces to engage in what it terms a “proxy war” against the Naga Army of NSCN. It accuses the government of supporting militant groups such as the KNA(B) and People’s Defence Force (PDF) to destabilize the region, exacerbating existing ethnic tensions between Meiteis and Kuki-Zo communities in Manipur.

According to the NSCM IM, despite the ongoing political talks between the Government of India and NSCN for a peaceful settlement, the Indian Security Forces, including the Assam Rifles (AR) and para-regiments, are allegedly colluding with Kuki militant groups. The statement alleges that these forces are facilitating the entry and exit of Kuki militants across the border, supplying them with combat materials and even providing training in bomb-making techniques.

The NSCM IM also criticizes the actions of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), accusing it of exacerbating tensions by blaming NSCN for the unrest in Manipur and utilizing Kuki militants against NSCN. Furthermore, it condemns the reported drone attacks carried out by Indian security forces on Naga Army camps in Myanmar, describing them as acts of aggression and state terrorism.

The statement further highlights the plight of Kuki refugees from Myanmar sheltered in Naga villages, alleging their involvement in criminal activities with the support of Indian security forces. It claims that the presence of these refugees has become a burden on the local population, affecting their livelihood and security.

The NSCM IM also issued a warning against further escalation of tensions and holds the Government of India responsible for any consequences arising from its alleged actions. It emphasizes the need for a peaceful resolution through political dialogue and condemns the use of military force and state-sponsored terrorism.
