E-Thabak, an online job searching platform, developed by a 13-year old youth from Manipur launched
E- Thabak, Manipur largest online job searching android application was officially launched by minister of Consumer Affairs Food and Public distribution, Manipur Karam Shyam on Monday in Imphal.
Developed by Baldeep Ningthoujam 13 years old , class 8 student of Imphal west district of Manipur said that E- Thabak is a job searching and job posting platform for unemployed youth who needs job but could not find suitable job. The computer whiz kid revealed that his future plan is to develop more applications and pursue higher study in the field of artificial intelligence.
The young lad started developing applications since 2016. He has been a part of the team engaged in creating applications for Lamjingba Cab, the cab service in Manipur in 2016, Manipur Times online Shopping platform, Xingu Mart, a store for products made in Manipur.
Since his tender age, Baldeep is interested in technology. His mentor, Ningthoujam Amujao Singh, who is the managing director of LMP Technology Private limited had been mentoring and teaching him computer programming, android development (mobile app development) website designing and development since the age of six.
The young prodigy said that his uncle also taught him programming languages like HTML, CSS, Java Script, JQUERY, JAVA, PHP, Photoshop, illustrators, and most importantly Integrated development Environment (IDE) like Android Studio, visual studio and more.
Speaking as the chief guest of the launching program, minister of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Karam Shyam said that people who seek jobs loss opportunities if they are not aware of the information. “When youths in the state take the advantage and opportunities presented by the internet and technology, they would be able to compete with people outside the state. I’m confident that E- Thabak will be a morale booster for youths in the competitive world,” said the minister.
Managing director of LMP Technology Private limited, Ningthoujam Amujao Singh said that the E-Thabak will bridge the gap between job seekers and job providers in the Manipur where the number of entrepreneurs are increasing.
