‘To implement  Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)-PMAY (U) for needo-housing in  Haryana, we need to accept the challenges including migratory labour from nearby states with effective implementation of public-private partnership ( PPP) model ’, said Vice-Chancellor Starex University Gurugram Prof. M.M. Goel while delivering the online inaugural address of a programme ‘Awas Par Samvad’ organised at Bhagwan Parshu Ram College in collaboration with Department of Housing for all PMAY –Urban Haryana. Principal Dr Y.K. Joshi delivered the welcome address. Dr M.R. Bansal presented a citation on the achievements of the Vice-Chancellor Starex University Prof. M.M .Goel .

The VC Starex University Prof. M.M. Goel further said that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana proved a panacea for needo-housing in urban Haryana with Khusiyo ka Aashiyana.

There is a strong case for stopping the misuse of housing loans on the lowest rate of interest, cautioned Prof. Goel who is the founder of Needonomics School of Thought.

Prof. Goel explained two models of Affordable Rental Housing Complexes (ARHCs) for migrants at their worksites including Utilizing existing Government funded vacant houses to convert into ARHCs through Public-Private Partnership or by public agencies and construction, operation, and maintenance of ARHCs by public/ private entities on their own vacant land for achieving ‘Housing for All’ goal in a sustainable manner.
