Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)  Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat, while gracing an intellectual (Bouddhik) program on Sunday morning, pointed out that the Swayamsevaks work as a catalyst for the welfare of the society.  Dr Bhagwat commented that RSS is not a usual organization, which inspires the Swayamsevaks to dedicate their time, energy and space to safeguarding  Sanatan culture and the nation. While addressing a large number of Swayamsevaks at the premises of  South Point School in Barsapara locality on 23 February 2025, the RSS chief asserted that the Swayamsevaks come to work for the society facing all kinds of difficulties and challenges.

Organized by the RSS’s Mahanagar Shakha, where over one thousand  Swayamsevaks assembled to listen to Dr Bhagwat, he defined five important issues towards social transformations, namely social harmony, civic duties, environment protection, the spirit of selfhood and values of an ideal family (Kutumba Prabodhan). Dr Bhagwat insisted that the sustained communal harmony admong various ethnic groups in society and goodwill among the relatives & clans will only lead the nation towards a positive direction & outcome. He urged the Swayamsevaks to enhance the friendship among different sections in the society irrespective of their castes, creeds, regions or languages they possess.

The Sarsanghchalak also made an important statement that all Hindus should share the same temples, crematoriums and water for various uses. He also opined that society as a whole should take the responsibility to conserve water, plant saplings and avoid plastic utensils to protect the environment. Every Bharatiya (Indian) should pursue food items, housing, travel and even languages matching their self-expressions, stated Dr Bhagwat, adding that everyone should converse in mother tongues instead of using foreign languages in their day-to-day activities.

He reiterated that the citizens should follow the traditional social norms even though all rules may not be termed as laws. In the presence of  RSS’s Uttar Asom Pranta Sanghchalak Dr Bhupesh Sharma, Guwahati Mahanagar Sanghchalak and other dignitaries, Dr Bhagwat asserted that a healthy, strong and progressive society should be our collective forte. Sarsanghchalak Bhagwat, who addressed a  Rashtra Sevika Samiti meeting at IITG in North Guwahati on Saturday, will attend a few meetings with RSS Pracharaks and others in the city, before leaving for Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday for his next phase of  Prabas (tour) undertaken coinciding with RSS’s centenary year, stated Kishor Shivam, Prachar Pramukh of  RSS’s Uttar Asom Pranta.of  RSS’s Uttar Asom Pranta.
