Yoga Week started on 9 May and in it over 700 civilians from all walks of life, including women and children benefited from it.
Imphal 15th May : In its continuing efforts to promote Good Health and Healthy Manipur, Singngat Battalion under the aegis of Churachandpur SECTOR, Assam Rifles organised “YOGA WEEK” in all its COBs.
Singngat Battalion in the past as well has been at the forefront of motivating the villagers to follow Yoga by creating awareness about its benefits.
On previous occasions as well Singhat Battalion has also organised AYUSH CAMPS in coordination with the Directorate of Ayush, Government of Manipur the most recent one being at Behiang, a border village 1 km away from Indo – Myanmar border which was inaugurated by Shri Langpoklakpam Jayantakumar Singh, Minister of Health, Family Welfare, Government of Manipur.
Yoga Week started on 9 May and in it over 700 civilians from all walks of life, including women and children benefitted from it. Officers and troops of the Battalion also participated in Yoga Week.
Apart from Yoga, various classes and lectures on the Benefits of yoga were also conducted for the benefit of all. People from far off villages of Songdoi and Behiang were very satisfied by practising yoga and have vowed to make it part of their daily routine and thanked Singhat Battalion and Assam Rifles for the initiative.
