India-Bangladesh border of Sonamura sub-division under Sepahijala district will remain sealed from 7 am on September 3, 2023 till the end of polling on September 5, 2023 for the smooth completion of bye-election to 20-Boxanagar and 23-Dhanpur assembly constituencies of Tripura.

At that time no one except BSF officers and jawans, responsible government officials, members of the security forces can cross the border of the concerned area.

Similarly, no one from Bangladesh can enter India through Srimantpur Immigration Centre of Sonamura sub-division.

This order was issued by District Magistrate of Sepahijala district as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
