If Bangladesh willfully does not provide security to its Hindu-Buddhist-Christian minorities, and instead set the rabid Islamists after them, then the minorities will naturally want to escape to India. That is a loss for India, a gain for overcrowded, Islamist Bangladesh. Why should India put up with this? Therefore India must apply relentless diplomatic pressure on Bangladesh to arrange safety for Hindus, etc.

And if diplomacy does not work, then military action to grab a piece of their land for accommodating the refugees. This is what the Russians did in Crimea, Israelis in West Bank. And why not? Is it acceptable that you will sit by my side and keep stabbing me, and if I protest you shout ‘sovereignty’? @DrSJaishankar
