When new criminal laws were passed by Rajya Sabha, many legal luminaries in the House contributed by silence.

But I was shocked & surprised when a distinguished Member of Rajya Sabha, who is a legal luminary of Harvard gave a statement outside the House that he had given the objections to the Joint Committee.

I looked into every word of the committee, and his first objection was – “Why is there the death penalty?”

I was surprised because all over the world there is death penalty… there are terrorists, enemies of humanity, enemies of state & society…

His second serious objection was that – all definitions are cut and paste. Now tell me on earth… take any piece of the legislation, on the same item, you’ll have across all statutes. #RajasthanHighCourt
