They’re on their way! #Crew9 undocked from the @Space_Station at 1:05am ET (0505 UTC). Reentry and splashdown coverage begins on X, YouTube, and NASA+ at 4:45pm ET (2145 UTC) this evening

The spacecraft bringing back astronauts from the International Space Station (ISS) is the SpaceX Crew Dragon. Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who have been on the ISS since June 2024, they will return aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft that launched as part of the Crew-9 mission in September 2024.
This spacecraft, which carried NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov to the ISS, has two extra seats reserved for Wilmore and Williams. They are scheduled to return to Earth with Hague and Gorbunov.
